Washington Park Arboretum

Today turned out to be a lovely day. Though the wind was blowing and the temperature wasn't THAT warm, when the sun was out (which was frequently) the air was warm and pleasant. It finally felt like spring for the first time in a long time. Michael and I decided to get some exercise and much needed vitamin D from the sun via a walk through the arboretum.

I love this arboretum. Unlike a typical structured garden, it has the feeling of an old growth forest that happens to have the occasional flowering cherry tree and masses of spring bulbs planted in it. Its winding, tranquil paths give you the sense that you are the only one around, although there are probably at least a hundred people in very close proximity. All in all, if you have not visited this place, do so! It is one my favorite spots in Seattle.
