Long time, no see!

I have been a busy lady these days. Mostly though, I just haven't felt like blogging. Nothing worth mentioning has been happening and the garden is slowly dying. This sounds all very depressing, but its true. This time of year just seems to put me into a funk. Granted, I did get out and enjoy every nice days we had last month. But now I am content to sit indoors and stare at the outside gloom from the comfort of my warm house.

The biggest project keeping us busy lately has been a bathroom facelift. Our house was built in the 70's and from the looks of it, the guest bath was last updated in about 1992. So naturally everything looked outdated and grotty. We (and by we I mean Michael) replaced the old, ugly linoleum with some nice, modern stuff. We painted the vanity instead of replacing it (a savings of several hundred dollars no doubt), we replaced the molding, replaced every fixture in the room (including towel racks, shower fixtures and lighting), and purchased new towels and a shower curtain.

It is not 100% done yet. The painted vanity pieces still need to dry before they can be put back together. However, apart from that, things are nearly done. I must say, it looks pretty awesome. This project went way smoother than the kitchen!
