Here in the Pacific Northwest, it is often gray. This is especially true in winter. Skies, roads, trees, lichen and my garden are all gray. It is always this time of year that I start making color inspections. I lift some leaves from the earth, probe a rotted stem, peel back some bark, all in my search for color, any color! So far my searches have been pretty fruitless. Although I am seeing the signs of spring start to emerge (tulip, crocus and daffodil leaves poking out of the ground), there is such dearth of color. At least compared to the way it is during the spring. So, to while away this dull time, I found myself reminiscing over my pictures from last May. It was such a beautiful time. The garden is always at it's best then. So much color. Come reminisce with me!
