A friend told me about how when she was pregnant a few months ago, she went to Siemens (develops ultrasound equipment) in Issaquah and got several free, 3D ultrasounds! She gave me the number, so I called them and set up an appointment. I went in the morning and got shown into the exam room. The tech spent well over an hour measuring my organs as well as the baby's, as well as his features.
I got to see the heart beat again and she showed me his little scalp, covered in hair! I saw his little pee pee again and watched as he wiggled and squirmed around in there. At one point, he was breathing the amniotic fluid and then got the hiccups! It was so bizarre to feel the movements I was seeing on the screen. He was in a good position for birth (kinda), but not so great for getting good shots of his face. He was hear down and on his side, with his spine facing the right side of my belly. Nevertheless, she turned on the 3D imager and started taking pictures.
After poking, prodding and cajoling him, we finally got some good shots of his sweet little face, in 3D for the first time. I'm sure he didn't enjoy the treatment, but it was all for a good cause as I now had a cd full of amazing pictures of him. He is SO cute! He has chubby cheeks and sweet little lips. Its hard to tell who he looks like. He definitely has Michael's chin, but in some pictures he has some of my traits too. I am even more excited to meet him and hold him for the first time, in less than 12 weeks! My son is adorable!
