Every now and again William will do something adorable, and Michael and I
will look at each other and I can feel the love pouring out of him. Its
those moments that I think to myself, 'this is why we have kids!' Its
the joy that they bring to you, livening up even the most mundane
moments. Its the way they make your little family feel complete. Its the
sweetness of seeing your partner's expressions and behavioral traits
mirrored in a set of tiny features. Its the feeling of love and
protectiveness as you hold their tiny bodies close. There are a hundred
ways being a new parent can be challenging and frustrating, but just as
many ways it can be incredibly rewarding. It just depends on how you
choose to look at it (and how much sleep you got the night before!).
