May has finally arrived, and with it, the spring weather that we we supposed to get back in April. After such a mild winter, the frigid months of March and April were a tease! Nevertheless, it has been absolutely lovely the past week . . . almost making up for those other months. To celebrate, the flowers have been putting on quite a show, displaying vibrant hues from tangerine and lemon to azure and vermilion.
It catches my breath every time I see this fabulous beauty all around me. Its the kind of feeling that makes me feel good about being alive. In fact, it makes me want to start spinning in a circle while singing "The Hills are Alive" (I live on a hill so that wouldn't be too far of a stretch).
No matter what the weather has in store down the road, this season is alive with all of the possibilities of the coming summer months: camping, bike riding, swimming, traveling and of course gardening. Bring it on summer, I am ready!
